Osteoarthritis Programs

“I don’t know how to thank you, three months ago, I walked into your room in great discomfort. I was amazed when you showed be a 10kg discrepancy of weight distribution between my left and right leg. After three months of my commitment, I can honestly say the result has been truly remarkable”

Our Hip and Knee Programs

Osteoarthritis is a condition that affects your joints and develops as a result of normal age related wear. Other factors can increase the risk of developing osteoarthritis. In severe cases, joint replacement surgery is recommended when all other forms of conservative management have failed.

Although total hip and knee replacement surgery can be an effective way of managing severe osteoarthritis, there are a group of patients whose symptoms remain unchanged and in some cases are worse despite having joint replacement surgery.

Our program offers a function of screening tool to determine the root of your presenting problems. If there are significant other contributing reasons as to why your joint is under so much load then effectively dealing with these factors can help take the pressure off your hip or knee and you can achieve a good outcome without surgery.

What is the program?

The program is intensive and one that will demand motivation to avoid surgery and improve your general health and wellbeing.

This is the first of its kind and the only area nationally to provide this program.

Over 85% of patients who have been accepted onto the program have successfully avoided surgery and report significant changes to their levels of pain, stiffness and function (April 2016)
